Hotel Britannique - Maastricht

- Great decor -quiet (at back of hotel), despite being right above a bar -location -L'Occitane toiletries in bathroom -great value

-Carpet was stained -shower tray did not drain very quickly. -Not sure if wi-fi was available

It was difficult to find the hotel because it's on the upper floor of a bistro/cafe. And everytime we go in or go out, we had to pass the restaurant.

Very well setup and designed room above the restaurant including rear entrance for entry/exit at any time. The location was ideal facing the city square with the city car park below the square. The staff are friendly and welcoming.

The disco postioned behind the hotel ran until past 5:00 am. Luckily the sound is buffered by the room position but if windows are open the noise and shouting can be annoying.

Newly remodeled rooms in historic brasserie with obvious attention paid to historical preservation with a chic and stylish tone.

Nothing really. The safe was locked in the room so we couldn't use it. But we never asked them to fix it either which I'm sure they would have.

Beautifully designed and comfortable room, Double doors to the loo and double shower. Great hospitality from staff.

Room was nice and clean, with nice bathroom . It looks like the rooms have been renovated, however the rest of the hotel is far behind.

There is no possibility to park in front of the hotel even just to offload the luggage; this has to be carried from the parking place about 150 m far away. We had booked the room in advance however when we came the room had not been heated despite the cold weather outside.(the radiator valve was closed).

Excellent room,spotless,facilities and perfect design. Very friendly staff.

Location in historic district was great. Rooms were large and comfortable with a large shower and tub. The maid was exceptional for Europe.

Upon arriving at Vrijhof Square, due to the umbrellas on the sidewalks, it was very difficult to locate hotel. The name on the awning was blocked by the umbrellas and numbers were not present on most cafés. I had to ask. The square was very noisy due to a festival, but once the windows were shut, noise was controlled amazingly well. Overall, it was a great place.

Superior room is very spacious, is nicely furnished and offers great views on the Vrijthof. The staff make you feel very welcome.

No minibar in the room, but then, 2 flights of stairs down is a full bar :)

Ver well located, super friendly staff, terrific food and very nicely desiged and spacious rooms! Definitely worthwhile.

I missed extra outlets for use of a computer

Excellent location right on the city square. Good standard of cleanliness and friendly staff.

We booked the hotel as it is right on the square however we were put in Room 5 at the back of the hotel on the top floor with a duct from the kitchen right outside the window. Food smells were therefore in the room at all times. The Room was also stifling hot with just a small fan. No English information in the hotel information book, No English menu'S. Looking at other reviews now, I think the English are always put at the back of the hotel.

Good, clean rooms. Staff very helpfull with excellent attitude. Great locatin, just in the city centre.

We arrived late in the afternoon, when the main city square was packed with people. No visible signage of the hotel made it very hard to find. Needed to park the car good 500m away and look for the hotel. Car park is 100 m away and needed to walk with the suitcases all the way to the hotel. No air condition in the rooms. Could not open the window because of the smell from the kitchen.

Excellent friendly and helpful staff. Nice room and the bed was extremely comfortable. Location excellent. Hotel is in a prime position to shops, restaurants etc but the room was very sound proof(excellent again!). Would 100% stay again.

The bed was the most comfortable we have ever slept in and the room was beautifully decorated. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the location of the hotel was ideal with lots of restaurants around the square.

The room was lovely but it was very warm and as there was a heating duct/extractor from the kitchen right outside our window it was noisy if we had the windows open. There was a huge fan in the room but that was very loud too when we tried that. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room with a supermarket nearby meant that we could buy croissants etc for breakfast as the cost of breakfast in the hotel was €13.95 each for the usual cheese, ham, bread etc.

Very good room. Good Breakfast choices. Excellent staff Very good cost benefit. Good internet access.

Very difficult stairs and no elevator. Carpet floor in the room instead of wood. No air conditioning.
